How to check aadhar card and pan card are linked or not ?
Earlier this year, the central government extended the PAN and Aadhaar linking process till March 2022. If you haven't already linked both certificates, link them before the deadline. However, if you are in doubt whether you have linked your Aadhaar with PAN card or not, you can easily check it by following the steps given below.
How to check that both Aadhar Card and Pan Card are linked
- Step 1: First of all visit the official Income Tax website or directly click on this link www.incometax.gov.in.
- Step 2: Under Our Services section, click on the link Aadhaar option.
- Step 3: After this click on the option of Link Aadhaar Know About Your Aadhaar PAN Linking Status.
- Step 4: On the new page, you will have to enter the details of PAN and Aadhar card in the boxes shown on the website.
- Step 5: After filling all the details, click on the option of View Link Aadhaar Status.
- Step 6: The website will then show your Aadhaar-PAN linking status.

If you have not linked your Aadhaar and PAN card yet, then follow the easy steps given here:
- Step 1: First of all go to www.incometax.gov.in . And click on 'Our Services' tab
- Step 2: Enter the details such as PAN, Aadhar Number, Name, Mobile Number, Others in the space provided.
- Step 3: If the only year of birth is mentioned in your Aadhaar card, you need to select the check box: "I have only year of birth in Aadhaar card"
- Step 4: Click on the Next box in which "I agree to validate my Aadhaar details" is found.
- Step 5: Click on the Continue button.
- Step 6: You will then have to receive a six digit one time password on your registered mobile number. Enter OTP in the verification page.
- Step 7: Click on the 'Validate' option shown on the screen.
Once you have completed the steps properly, the process of linking your Aadhaar and PAN card details will begin.
