How to Link Aadhar Card with Voter ID Card ?
The Union Cabinet has passed a bill regarding electoral reforms that will link a citizen's Aadhar card with his Voter ID card. The electoral law for service voters is considered gender-neutral. Therefore, one can link Aadhaar Card with Voter ID Card by visiting National Voter Service Portal, SMS, phone or nearest booth level officials. We have given below step by step guide to link aadhar card with voter id card.
How to Link Aadhaar with Voter ID Card through National Voter Service Portal:
- Step 1: First of all go to https://voterportal.eci.gov.in/ .
- Step 2: After that login through the portal using mobile number, email id, voter id number and enter password.
- Step 3: After that enter state, district and personal details like name, date of birth and father's name.
- Step 4: Now click on the search button if the entered details fit properly in the data base of the government, then further processing will be done.
- Step 5: Tap on 'Feed Aadhaar No' option which is available on the left side of the screen.
- Step 6: A pop-up page will be shown for filling the name as on Aadhar Card, Aadhar Number, Voter ID Number, Registered Mobile Number and/or Registered Email Address.
- Step 7: You have to fill all the data as told and after that click on the submit button.
- Step 8: Finally, a message will be shown on the screen that your application has been successfully registered.
How to Link Aadhar Card with Voter ID Card through SMS
- Step 1: First of all open your phone text message bar.
- Step 2: After this send an SMS to 166 or 51969. After this you will get the format and have to give the details.
How to Link Aadhar Card with Voter ID Card through Phone:
- Step 1: You can also call the call center to link Aadhaar with your voter ID.
- Step 2: You can link your Aadhar card by calling 1950 from 10 AM to 5 PM.
- Step 3: After the call, you will have to provide your Aadhar number and Voter ID card number and it will be linked.
